Worldwide Leather eyes domestic market

New Delhi , Feb. 16

FOOTWEAR exporter Worldwide Leather Exports Ltd is planning to launch its `Bertini' brand of shoes in India through 100 stores in the next two years.

The company has already launched its shoes through Shoppers' Stop in Mumbai and Bangalore and in a few malls in Delhi. The company plans to have a wider presence in these cities and others, including Kolkata.

Worldwide also plans to expand its production facility at Gurgaon to 1,600 pairs a day from the present 1,000 pairs a day shortly. It expects to sell around 60,000 pairs a year domestically after the expansion.
