HYDERABAD: Infosys Technologies Ltd, the country's second largest software services provider, which had hinted at the possibility of major expansion plans in Hyderabad, is exploring options to expand its operations with a second campus in the State potentially by locating it in a special economic zone (SEZ).

As a part of its exploratory mission, a team from Infosys headed by its Chief Financial Officer, Mr Mohandas Pai, met the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, here on Thursday.

At a press conference during the Analyst Meet held here last year, Infosys Chairman, Mr Narayana Murthy, had indicated the company intended to set up a second major campus in Andhra Pradesh and the possibility of acquiring about 300 to 350 acres of land for the campus near the international airport. But, as it transpires now, the company is looking at creating a much larger facility here in the State.
