Canara Bank Home Loan fest

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Minister for Revenue, Mr K.M. Mani, inaugurated a three-day Canara Bank Home Loan Festival here on Monday.

Mr P. Mohanan, Deputy General Manager, Canara Bank, presided over the function. Ms Mythili Krishnamoorthy, Assistant General Manager, was present on the occasion. The inaugural day saw over 150 spot sanctions being cleared, a bank spokesman said here.

The rate of interest offered is 7.25 per cent for loans with a repayment period of up to five years and 7.5 per cent for those with tenure between five to 20 years. There is no legal charges or processing fees involved. Apart from a concession in valuation fees, there is a personal accident insurance for the asking.

Those interested can register at the venue itself. The festival also features loan schemes for solar water heaters at two per cent interest.
