People Masahiro Takedagawa is new Honda Motor Operating Officer Our Bureau
New Delhi , Feb. 21 MR Masahiro Takedagawa, President and CEO of Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI), is scheduled to take charge as the Operating Officer of Honda Motor Company Ltd, Japan, a company release said. In addition to his current position as the HSCI President and CEO, Mr Takedagawa would also assume the overall responsibility for Honda's automobile, motorcycle and power product businesses in South West Asia, comprising India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh, the release added. Organisational changes: Apart from Mr Takedagawa's appointment, Asian Honda Motor Co Ltd, Honda's Bangkok-based Asia and Oceania regional headquarters has made several other organisational changes in the company. Mr Satoshi Toshida, currently the Senior Managing Director and COO, Asia-Oceania region, Honda Motor Co Ltd, and President & CEO of Asian Honda Motor Co Ltd, will become the COO of Honda Power Products' operations. With this new assignment, he would be responsible for the global power products' operations of Honda Motor Co Ltd. Power Products is one of Honda's three core businesses, along with automobiles and motorcycles. It includes solar panel development and multi-purpose engines. In addition, Mr Toshida would also oversee the continuing development of the Honda Jet. Mr Tatsuhiro Oyama, currently the Director and COO of Parts Operations, will succeed Mr Toshida as the President & CEO of Asian Honda Motor Co Ltd effective April 1, 2006, the release stated.
