NEW DELHI: Educomp Solutions Ltd on Wednesday launched countrywide technology roadshow for its Smart-Class program that would offer schools content, technology platform, hardware and software as part of digital learning.

The initiative supported by Microsoft, Intel and Wipro, would be showcased to schools across 50 cities and towns.

Citing an example of the relevance of the program, the Educomp Solutions Senior Vice-President, Mr Abhinav Dhar, said while learning about volcanoes, students would see how the massive mountain actually erupts and spews out hot molten lava, on a video screen in their classroom.

Wipro has provided the requisite hardware, PCs, and Intel gave technology while Microsoft provided the necessary software for the initiative.
