A team of veterinary doctors and health officers of the West Bengal Government checking the chicken in a market in Kolkata on Wednesday.

The team educated the traders about handling chicken, gave tips on how to find out whether the birds had avian flu, and gave suggestions on maintaining hygiene at the shops.

The State Government also plans to spread awareness through multimedia campaign.
