Coimbatore , Feb. 22

ELGI Ultra Industries Ltd, which had launched its table-top wet grinder variant `Ultra Perfect+' in Chennai earlier this month, will roll out the model in a phased manner in other centres.

The company, which is part of the Elgi Equipments Ltd (EEL) group, expects the advanced model to garner 20 per cent share of the overall 50-55 per cent market share the company commands in the segment.

The company is also readying for a new product launch in the home appliances segment, but declined to come out with details now.

Speaking to Business Line here today, Dr Jairam Varadaraj, Managing Director, EEL, said the demand for table-top wet grinders could be around 15,000 units a month. .

The `Ultra Perfect+', featuring a timer, costs Rs 6,500 and comes with a 10-year warranty. According to Mr Varadaraj, ease of operation, noise levels, aesthetics, stability and compactness have been given prime consideration in the new model.
