New Delhi , Feb. 23

Taco MobiApps Telematics Ltd (TMT), a joint venture between Tata Auto Comp Systems (TACO), a Tata group company, and the Singapore-based MobiApps, on Wednesday said that it was in talks with various companies to enter markets in China, Thailand and other Asean countries.

TMT, which provides vehicle-tracking solutions, will draw synergies from its parent company TACO for this foray, TMT CEO, Mr Praveen Gupta, said.

"We are working on a business plan and hope to enter these countries in the next fiscal," he said.

In the meantime, TMT has drawn up expansion plans for the domestic market as well. The company is targeting revenues of Rs 60 crore in 2006-07, in which it expects to sell 40,000 units.

The company is also in talks with firms across various sectors, including BPOs, oil companies, schools, police fleet operators and municipal corporations to sell its range of products.
