Mumbai , Feb. 23

Bank of Maharashtra has launched two variants of its high-value current account scheme. Called Mahabank-Pearl and Mahabank-Sapphire, these schemes offer concessions in service charges allowed to the account holders across a range of services, a bank release said.

Mahabank-Pearl account-holders have to maintain a quarterly average balance of Rs 1 lakh and above, while Mahabank-Sapphire account-holders have to maintain a quarterly average balance of Rs 5 lakh.

Account-holders in these categories would get concessions in service charges up to 60 per cent with respect to services such as remittances, cheque collection, locker rent, and others.

The bank hopes to add a good chunk of high-value customers into its fold with the introduction of these schemes.

This scheme will also benefit the existing customers who fulfil these criteria, the release added.
