Internet Jobstreet to widen user base V. Rishi Kumar
Hyderabad , Feb. 24 Jobstreet, one of the top online recruitment solutions providers, is bullish on growth prospects in India and expects to swiftly increase its registered user base from the current 1.5 million by setting up five more offices, three in South and one each in North and West. The new centres would come up in Coimbatore, Visakhapatnam and Thiruvananthapuram in the South and Delhi in the Northern Capital Region and in Ahmedabad. The Managing Director of Jobstreet.com, Mr N. Muralidharan, told Business Line, that the job recruitment market continued to be buoyant offering immense scope for online recruitment service providers. The industry has seen significant consolidation; many have fallen by the wayside. A part of the Rs 1,300-crore market, the online recruitment solutions are increasingly being adopted by Indian companies. What started with technology companies is moving on areas such as FMCG, banking and financial services companies and in retailing. This augured well for a company like Jobstreet, which provides end-to-end recruitment services, he explained. The company which received funding initially from Walden International, received another round of funding from Sumitomo. After a successful initial public offer in Malaysia, JobStreet is now in the process of expanding to other countries such as Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia. "Each of the leading recruitment services providers has carved out a niche in certain area and we have made a mark in small and medium enterprises market, which require significant handholding. "To meet their requirement, we have JSImpact, a resume management tool that is offered as a hosted Application Service Provider model service. This service enables companies better manage their recruitment that is assisted by Jobstreet,'' he said. The recruitment market trends point towards buoyancy in the near to medium term where enterprises are increasingly taking to online recruitment process.More verticals are likely to be part of this model, he explained.
