Shanghai Food Expo from March 1

THE largest Asia food ingredients exhibition, Food Ingredients China, would be held in Shanghai during March 1-3.

Leading exporters of pepper and spice-based products from member countries of the International Pepper Community (IPC) will be participating in the exhibition, according to IPC sources.

Among the pepper exporters, processors and manufacturers of spice-based products, who will be seeking to expand their market to China through participation at FIC 2006 in Shanghai are firms from Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and Sri Lanka, they said.

Visitors to the IPC stall can meet representatives from PT Multitrade Chemicals and PT Bangkabuana Nusajaya Lestari (from Indonesia), Pepper Marketing Board, Sarawak Produce Sdn. Bhd, Lim Lian Hua Sdn. Bhd. and Suntraco Sdn. Bhd (from Malaysia), the Vietnam Pepper Association and Intimex Trading (from Vietnam), Ishana Spice Exports of Sri Lanka, and the IPC Secretariat officials.

These companies from IPC member countries have experience supplying pepper and other spice products to major consuming countries, including the Asia-Pacific, Europe and the US.

Among the products that will be offered by them are whole black and white pepper, ground black and white pepper, green pepper, black pepper sauces, green pepper sauces, curry pastes and herb and spice mixes of various kinds.
