Spices & Condiments 178 quintals cardamom delivered on NMCE Our Bureau
Kochi , Feb. 26 The National Multi-Commodity Exchange of India (NMCE) recorded the second highest physical delivery in cardamom at 178 quintals for the February contract. This constituted 0.94 per cent of the total volume of 18,964 quintals. The highest physical delivery in cardamom was recorded for the July 2004 contract at 211 quintals. Physical trading in pepper was 210 tonnes, which was 3.79 per cent of the total trading volume of 5,542 tonnes. In rubber, physical delivery was at 614 tonnes, which constituted 0.94 per cent of the total trading volume of 64,900 tonnes. The physical delivery in rubber was impressive, as it was the highest in terms of volume in the last five contract months, NMCE said. With this, the exchange has recorded a total physical delivery of 12,988 tonnes of pepper, 17,310 tonnes of rubber and 1,427 quintals of cardamom.
