Inaugurating a building of the Dakshina Kannada and Udupi Districts Cooperative Fish Marketing Federation at Hungaracutta in Udupi district on Saturday, he said the Gujarat model would be followed while implementing development activities related to fishermen.Referring to the demands of fishermen to increase the quota of subsidised diesel, he said the Government would consider their demands. Dr Acharya said that the 11 minor ports in the State are facing the problem of silting, and a suitable solution has to be found for this.
