Investors will gain, feels Fidelity MF

Our Bureau

Kolkata , Feb. 28

The Budgetary announcement relating to offshore funds is good for the asset management industry, Fidelity Mutual Fund has stated.

A Fidelity press note has quoted Ms Ashu Suyash, Country Head, who felt investors will gain from a geographical diversification of their portfolios.

The move to bring longer term FDs and pension funds under Section 80C will help create a level playing field between various savings and investment products.

It will also encourage investors to take decisions based on needs and risk profiles rather than for reasons related to tax saving, the MF has mentioned.
