Bangalore , March 1

British Airways has said that it will add another flight from London Heathrow to Bangalore, flying six times a week to the city from May 4 this year. The Bangalore route was launched only on October 31, 2005.

Flight frequencies to and from Chennai are to be rationalised to five times a week from the same date, a BA release said.

"British Airways recently launched the route connecting Bangalore with London - Heathrow. The response on the new route has led British Airways to advance its plans and add more frequencies out of Bangalore," said Mr Alok Sawhney, Commercial Manager, India.

It now operates double daily flights from Mumbai and Delhi.
