Himalya gains on Budget sops

Himalya International Ltd went up 4.79 per cent on the BSE on expected benefits from the Budget, dealers said.

The company, which is in the food-processing sector, will benefit from the excise duty exemption to many food products.

The company is into food items such as mushrooms to specialty potatoes to culinary herbs and frozen ready-to-eat products, they pointed out.

The company's stock closed at Rs 19.7, up from Tuesday's Rs 18.80. Over 1.05 lakh shares were traded on the BSE.
