"We are also extremely strong in the human resource (HR) and payroll management areas and are looking to expand its scope and applicability in the Indian context as well. Though the telecom market has grown phenomenally in the recent past, we believe that we would be able to better address this market a few years down the line," Mr Jenn explained.
10,000 strong
Speaking to Business Line along with Mr Clint F. Streit, they said that the company has grown to a 10,000-people team in India, which constitutes a big part of the company workforce of about 66,000 people globally. "We currently have the capability to add another 3,000 to 3,500 people and expect to add at least 2,000 people by the end of this year. However, the software development centre, which is mainly based in Hyderabad, would see the addition of a few hundred engineers," they explained. But believe that the market is at a slightly hyped sentiment. Once this comes to a realistic levels, we will explore this option".
