Satyam to expand China presence

Hyderabad, March 1

Satyam Computer Services Ltd on Wednesday announced its plans to set up operations in Guangzhou, China, further strengthening its presence there to make it a nearshore centre for the region.

The company signed an agreement in Bangalore in the presence of Mr Zhang Guangning, Mayor of Guangzhou and Mr B. Rama Raju, co-founder and Managing Director, Satyam.

Amongst the first to enter China, Satyam has grown to 250 associates across Shanghai, Dalian and Beijing. Dalian, is developing as a nearshore centre for Satyam's Japanese and Korean clients due to its proximity and availability of multilingual resources.
