The Andhra Pradesh Government has constituted a committee of Group of Ministers that would seek to strategise the plan of action for the Praja Pathakam scheme.
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, the State Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, said the group would comprise his cabinet colleagues, Mr Mohd Ali Shabbir, Mr N. Raghuveera Reddy and Mr Dharamana Prasada Rao.
The Praja Pathakam, a scheme that seeks to gather information about people's grievances, particularly in the areas of drinking water supply, power supply and employment scenario in the rural areas, would get under way in April. The effort would be to address people's concerns at local level.
Referring to the Rajiv Internet Village, Dr Reddy said by September-October 2006, about 6,000 villages would be covered. These villages seek to provide Internet connectivity in rural areas through kiosks and effort would be made to reach out to various citizen services through these centres.
