CTMTC to sell 5 m spindles this year

China Texmatech Company (CTMTC) hopes to export to India about five million spindles during 2006 calendar, according to Mr Wu Xiuhua, Vice-President of CTMTC.

The textile machinery manufacturing plant of the company has a mass production line which is capable of producing five lakh spindles with complete spinning project from blow-room up to auto-winding per month. It can meet the shortest delivery period of three months from the day of confirming order both for complete project and individual machinery demanded by importers, Mr Xiuhua said.

CTMTC's plants currently sells 85 per cent of the machinery produced within China and only the balance is exported. Now the company has planned to increase its export production to 30 per cent.

`CTMTC is also willing to explore the possibility of procuring certain textile accessories/components used in its textile machinery from local industries in India which will create a win-win situation for the industries in both China and India', Mr Xiuhua said.

The current pace of investment towards capacity building and modernisation has triggered positive response for the Chinese firms, according to Mr J.P. Saria, Chairman of Spintex group companies, the selling agent for CTMTC for North India. Six projects in the North and western regions accounting for 75,000 spindles to be supplied by the CTMTC were concluded with confirmed letter of credit.
