S'pore FII buys 8.71% stake in Herbertsons

Mumbai , March 2

Matherson Advisory Singapore Pvt Ltd, a registered FII, has bought 8.29 lakh shares (8.71 per cent) of Herbertsons Ltd from McDowell & Co Ltd and Phipson Distillery at Rs 263.35 per share through a block deal executed on Tuesday.

The total cost of acquisition works out to be Rs 21.83 crore.

The deal brokered by Ambit Capital was also the first block deal for the broking firm, a company release stated.

"It is a landmark deal and the first for Ambit Capital," said Mr Manish Kanchan, CEO and Partner, Ambit Capital.
