New Delhi , March 2 New-Delhi based FC2 Lifestyle Pvt Ltd plans to set up 35-40 stores for home decoration products across the country in about two-and-a-half years. The company would invest Rs 20 crore, part of which would be financed through debt and the rest through internal accruals, said Mr Abhinav Khandelwal, Director, FC2 Lifestyle. "Starting with five company owned stores in Delhi in the current year, we would go pan India with a mix of own and franchisee stores," he said. Speaking on the need for such stores, Mr Khandelwal said, "With growing number of nuclear families and a desire to express individuality, there is great market for home décor products."
Christined FCML Home
To be called FCML Home, the stores would offer items such as clocks, table-lamps, decorative lights, photo-frames, flower-vases and cutlery among others. "While choosing the products to be kept in the stores, focus would be on the design and utility," he said.
Planned in 15 major cities
The company is currently negotiating with national and international manufactures of lifestyle products for sourcing of these products. The company is planning to open these stores in 15 major cities across the country. Mr Khandelwal also plans to expand the company's sanitary ware distribution business by opening three more stores to offer bathtubs, shower-cabinets and wash basins. He currently has a store in Delhi for these products. The new stores would be opened in the current year in Chennai, Mumbai and another one in Delhi.
