More Reliance General branches

Mumbai , March 3

The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) has given Reliance General Insurance the approval to open 14 more branches. With this approval, the branch network of the company would go up to 51 by May 2006.

With 14 new offices, Reliance General Insurance will expand its presence to Goa, Bhopal, Agra, Dehradun, Allahabad, Guwahati, Jamshedpur, Panipat, Aurangabad, Vijayawada, Mysore, Madurai, Calicut and Jaipur.

Mr Soma Sekharan, CEO, Reliance General Insurance, said, "With the new branches, innovative distribution channels and technology, we will provide customers wide choice of touch points across the country.''

The company plans to double the number of its employees and agents over next three months.
