INCREASING REACH: A farm worker inspecting the sunflower crop at a village in South 24 Pargarnas district in West Bengal. The area under sunflower during the current rabi season has increased to 13.78 lakh hectares against 13.01 lakh hectares during the same time last year. With the Centre raising the base prices at which Customs duty is to be calculated, oilseed growers can expect good returns now for the crop.
