Nick bid to beef up primetime

Our Bureau

Mumbai, March 3

Nick, the TV channel for kids, has launched a new show Trollz to be aired at 4.30 pm on weekdays thereby further strengthening its weekday primetime NickToons block.

Trollz will join Chalkzone, The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron and SpongeBob SquarePants which also feature on the block.

Ms Hema Govindan, Vice-President and General Manager, Nick India, said, "This is our first new show for 2006, a year which is going to be a landmark year for us especially in terms of new content. Our NickToons block has been gaining ground and looks unstoppable with its present lineup!"

The Trollz story is all about friendship, sticking by friends in need, teenage life and having fun with one's pals. It is the contemporary version of the classic colourful, spiky-haired Troll characters that became a global sensation in the Sixties.
