TMB's new vehicle loan scheme

Madurai, March 7

Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd, (TMB) has launched a new loan scheme by name, `TMB mini vehicle' in a tie-up arrangement with TATA Motors Ltd to provide marketing support to increase the vehicle advances.

The TMB Chairman, Mr S. Radhakrishnan, has recently launched the new scheme at its main branch at Tuticorin.

The scheme is suitable for small and medium business sector to purchase mini trucks for commercial purpose. TMB branches will source the dealers of the vehicle to identify the needy customers and extend finance to customers to purchase the new TATA mini truck — ACE under the scheme. The customers can avail loan to the maximum of Rs 2.50 lakh at an interest rate of 9 per cent with repayment period up to a maximum period of 5 years, subject to the usual formalities, a TMB press release said.
