Announcements Marketing - New Products & Services Natco Pharma launches cancer drug Our Bureau
In a release here on Tuesday, the company said Lymfuda (Fludarabine) is an alkylating agent useful in the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL). CLL is characterised by a large number of cancerous mature lymphocytic and enlarged lymph nodes. According to the company, there are approximately four patients per every lakh of population suffering from CLL. Lymfuda is useful when patients are not responding to traditional treatment. Launched for the first time in India, Lymfuda would substitute imports and is competitively priced at around 60 per cent of the cost of the imported medicine, the company claimed. With this launch, and with the expected revenues from this product, the company expects to become a top player in the oncology segment in the country in terms of revenues, the release said.
