FRUITS OF COTTON TREES lining up the National Highway bypass in Thiruvananthapuram have started breaking up in the hot sun and littering their contents in the air as well as on ground. Once used widely in the households for stuffing pillows and mattresses, the fluffy cotton produced from these trees does not find many takers these days.
