Kochi, March 8

Cruise vessel m v Columbus has reached Kochi Port from Colombo for a brief stopover. The vessel of Bahamas nationality carries 239 passengers and 176 crew onboard. Most of the passengers are Germans. A press release issued from the port said that four more cruise vessels are scheduled to call at Kochi in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, the port is in the process of setting up an exclusive passenger terminal of international standards at an investment of Rs 55-60 crore. The passenger terminal is proposed to be set up jointly with the Union and State Governments and the port.
