Mumbai, March 8

Diamond Trading Company (DTC), the sales and marketing arm of De Beers, has decided to hand over one of its prime flagship brand `Sangini' to Sanghavi Exports, one of its sight holders.

The brand Sangini, launched by DTC in 2004 and run by its seven sight holders in 2005, was recently purchased by Spectrum Jewellery Pvt Ltd, a part of the Sanghavi Exports, a sight holder group, as part of a bidding process.

"We have now handed over Sangini to our sight holder Sanghavi Exports to take forward. DTC will now focus on new consumer need states and will launch programmes for gifting Diamond Vivaha Jewellery and the Forevermark in India," Ms Cherie Tandon Saldanha, Marketing Director, India, DTC, said in a release.
