Pvt airlines owe Rs 78 cr to AAI

The private sector airlines owe Airports Authority of India more than Rs 78.2 crore till January 15 this year, the Minister for Civil Minister, Mr Praful Patel, has said. In a written reply to a question raised in the Rajya Sabha, the Minister said while there was an outstanding of more than Rs 21.20 crore against Jet Airways, Air Deccan owed Rs 15.84 crore. Other airlines included Sahara Airlines (Rs 7.46 crore), Spice Jet (Rs 94.88 lakh), NEPC Airlines (Rs 3.54 crore), Archana Airways (Rs 39.62 lakh), Mesco Airlines (Rs 3.06 crore), Elbee Air (Rs 1.02 crore), Continental Aviation (Rs 1.84 crore) and Jagson Airlines (Rs 1.31 crore).
