GINGER, GINGER EVERYWHERE: India, a main exporter of ginger and dried ginger, dominates the world market in ginger oil and oleoresin with about 50 per cent of the market share. Its share in the world trade in ginger (excluding ginger oil and oleoresin) estimated at around $190 million, is around 6 per cent. This year the country is said to have a bumper crop.
