Hyderabad, March 9

Satyam Computer Services Ltd has announced that the company's internal IT Service Management division has obtained ISO 20000 certification, the latest standard for implementation of IT Service Management.

Originally certified for BS15000 for its Infrastructure Management Services and internal IT Service Management operations in Chennai, this is an extension of scope to Satyam's all India locations as well as an upgrade from erstwhile BS15000 standard.

According to a company statement, BS15000 is the original British standard for IT Service Management that has now become ISO20000, with some changes.
