Spinach opens in Mumbai

The Wadhawan Food Retail Pvt Ltd (WFRL) has launched its first retail Food & Grocery store Spinach at Bandra-Kurla Complex in Mumbai.

The Spinach store will stock fresh fruit and vegetables, grocery items, processed and fresh meat, poultry, dairy products, bakery products, home and personal care items and house ware.

Speaking at the inauguration, Mr Kapil Wadhawan, Director, WFRL, said, "With Spinach, we intend to offer convenience shopping to the Indian consumer." WFRL has plans to open over 1,500 Spinach stores in the coming few years across the country. Depending on the size of the store, the Spinach store will be called Spinach Super, Spinach Local and Spinach Express.
