SBI staff holds protest march

Thiruvananthapuram, March 10

Officers and staff of State Bank of India took out combined protest marches in front of branches in the State on Friday in the run-up to the countrywide indefinite strike planned from April 4. Mr S. Vinayachandran (SBI Officers Association) and Mr K. Raja Kurup (SBI Staff Union) led the march held in front of the Local Head Office here. Mr M. Sreenath and Mr John Joseph addressed the activists. The employees have listed a list of demands, which include revision of pension payments, grant of commutation benefits, extension prices-based DA benefits to pension payments and a reasonable family pension regime.

Employees will observe protest day on March 18 and wear bear black badges in office.
