Hasbro Clothing plans 5 more stores

Hasbro Clothing, the makers of the apparel brands Genesis and Basics, plans to set up five more stores in two months with an outlay of Rs 1.5 crore, according to Mr Mohamed Hanif, Director, Hasbro Clothing Pvt Ltd. The expansion is being funded by internal accruals and debt. Mr Hanif was talking to newspersons at the inauguration of the new store in Chennai Citi Centre, the city's new mall.

The company, which has 23 stores, will set up two more stores in Chennai and one each in Madurai, Salem and Kozhikode. Some of the stores are company owned and the others are franchised. The brands are also present in Sri Lanka and the Gulf.

The company also has plans to enter the men's undergarment and denim segments, he said.
