Gold, silver prices weak

Mumbai , March 11

Precious metals ruled weak on the local bullion market on Saturday on lack of continued buying amid some offerings.

Silver (.999 fineness) was down Rs 15 at Rs 14,150 per kg over previous close. Pure gold prices were down Rs 60 at Rs 7,900 per 10 gm.

Standard mint prices were down Rs 55 at Rs 7,865 per 10 gm.

Chennai: Bar silver: Rs 15,075; retail silver (per gm): Rs 16.10; Standard gold: Rs 7,950; retail ornament gold (22 carat per gm): Rs 736.

Kolkata: Silver ready: Rs 14,125; Gold ready: Rs 7,970. — PTI
