Auto sector - revenue driver: Adhunik

Adhunik Metaliks Ltd has identified the automobile and auto components sector as a major driver of revenue growth for the company in the months ahead.

The company, which is setting up an integrated steel plant with forward and backward linkages in Sundergarh district of Orissa, is currently implementing the second phase of the expansion-cum-forward integration project at an estimated investment of Rs 437 crore. An investment of Rs 250 crore has been made in the first phase of the project, which has agone on stream.

Addressing a news conference here, Mr Manoj Agarwal, Managing Director of Adhunik Metaliks, said India had emerged as a regional hub for auto components and the automobile and auto components sector in the country had clocked a compounded average growth rate of around 30 per cent in the last five years.
