Air India Exp to fly direct to Sharjah from Mar 27

Air India Express will commence direct weekly flights on the Thiruvananthapuram-Sharjah sector from March 27.

The flight will leave the international airport here every Monday at 7.40 p.m. to arrive at Sharjah at 11.30 p.m., the Air-India Manager, Mr R. Ghosh, said here.

This apart, the budget liner proposes to operate three weekly flights each to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Muscat from here, which will boost the frequency of operations from six to 10 flights. Launching of the new flights will as well coincide with introduction of the summer schedule.

The summer schedule will see parent Air-India operating four weekly flights in the Thiruvananthapuram-Mumbai sector. In addition to the existing two weekly flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays, the international carrier will now operate two other flights to the country's financial capital on Mondays and Fridays.

These flights will also offer immediate onward connections to New York, Newark, Chicago, Los Angeles, London, Frankfurt, Paris, Nairobi, Dar-e-Salaam and destinations in the Far East and South East.

SUMMER SCHEDULE

Meanwhile, the summer schedule for Air India Express features a flight leaving for Abu Dhabi at 9.05 a.m. on Mondays and Thursdays. The arrival time at Abu Dhabi will be 11.25 a.m. On Fridays, the flight will depart from Thiruvananthapuram at 9.55 a. m. and reach Abu Dhabi at 12.15 noon.

The flight to Dubai on Mondays will take off at 6.35 p.m. to arrive at the destination at 10.40 p.m. On Fridays, the flight will depart Thiruvananthapuram at 7 p.m. to reach Dubai at 11.05 p.m. The departure time for Sunday has been fixed at 8.05 p.m. and the arrival time at Dubai at 11.55 p.m.

The flight to Muscat will leave Thiruvananthapuram on Mondays at 10.05 a.m. to reach the destination at 12 noon. On Thursdays, the departure time at Thiruvananthapuram will be 10.45 a.m. and arrival at Muscat 12.40 noon.

On Saturdays, the flight will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 9.15 a.m. and reach Muscat at 11.10 a.m.
