Andhra Bank opens new branch at Kalina

Mumbai, March 13

Andhra Bank has inaugurated the 1193rd branch of the bank at Kalina, Santa Cruz (East), Mumbai. The newly opened branch of the bank works on all the seven days of the week and has a locker facility, said a release from the bank.

Mr K. Ramakrishnan, Chairman and Managing Director, Andhra Bank, said that the bank has implemented `any-branch' banking by connecting more than 700 branches and is providing facilities such as multi-city cheques, instant funds transfer and RTGS.Andhra Bank's business has crossed Rs 52,000 crore as on December 31, 2005. In terms of distribution the bank has 1698 delivery channels comprising of 1193 branches, 138 extension counters and 367 ATMs.
