GDA Tech to beef up India operations

GDA Technologies Ltd plans to recruit 500 more engineers in the next two years and beef up its operations in Bangalore, Chennai and Kochi.

The company is an electronics design service and Silicon Intellectual Property Solution provider for embedded, networking and consumer electronics markets. It has targeted a turnover of $24 million for the current year, up from the $18 million it notched up last year, said Mr A.G. Karunakaran, President of the company.

GDA Technologies, which has its headquarters at Silicon Valley, US, has a total staff strength of close to 300 engineers, of which 200 are employed in India. The company has plans to sustain a 30-40 per cent compounded growth in the coming years. Kochi is perceived as the company's next major growth centre.
