SEAFOOD ON SALE: Sharks of different sizes caught by fishermen from the Bay of Bengal, kept for sale at Mohana wholesale fish market near Digha in East Midnapore district of West Bengal. Nearly 56 varieties of shark species are available in the Bay and many of them are in the endangered list.

Wildlife conservationists are trying hard to stop the hunt for sharks. But shark meat and fins are in great demand worldwide.
