ISO award for Mangalore airport

Mangalore, March 15

Mangalore airport has been awarded ISO 14001:2004 certificate for environment management system (EMS). A press release by the Airports Authority of India said here on Wednesday that the certificate is valid for three years from March 11, 2006. The certificate has been issued by Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand, Australia. Mangalore airport is the second airport in the country and the first in southern India to be certified both for quality management system (QMS) and EMS, the release added.
