US pressure

India's IAEA vote against Iran and the Indo-US nuclear deal confirm the worst fears that the UPA Government is succumbing to pressures from the US. Even the economic policies under the guise of liberalisation, globalisation and attracting FDI, cater more to the US and Western interests. When mom-and-pop store-owners in the US are lining up against retail giants such as Wal-Mart, why do we need FDI in retail? The US and its allies will use strong-arm tactics to get what they want from India.
