Vizag-Chennai bus service

Visakhapatnam, March 16

The APSRTC on Thursday launched the Visakhapatnam-Chennai Garuda (Volvo AC bus) service at the main bus station in the city at Dwarakanagar at 4.30 p.m. The new service was inaugurated by Mr C. Damodara Dass, the Executive Director (Vizianagaram and Vizag zones). The service covers a distance of 822 kms in 15 hours, with the fare being Rs 846 per adult and Rs 641 per child. The bus departs at the Dwarakanagar bus station at 4.30 p.m. and reaches Chennai the next day at 7.30 a.m. It leaves Chennai at 7.30 p.m. and arrives here by 10.30 a.m. En route, the bus passes through Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Guntur, Ongole, Nellore and Naidupeta. It terminates at Koyambedu bus station in Chennai.
