Microsoft-Anna varsity pact

Anna University, Chennai, and Microsoft on Thursday announced a partnership to empower the faculty and students across 235 colleges of the university on the latest range of Microsoft's development software and tools.

Students and faculty will have access to all the Microsoft developer tools, which can be used by students at their institutions, hostels and homes on their personal computers for academic and research purposes. Microsoft will also assist in setting up Microsoft technologies in labs at select institutions and conduct faculty development programmes on its curriculum related technologies, according to a company press release.
