Task force on health services HR

New Delhi, March 16

The Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, has asked the Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission to set up a task force on Planning for Human Resources for Health Services to ensure availability of adequate number of nurses, doctors, and lab technicians. This group would have representatives from the Union Ministry of Health and Ministries of Health of selected States and professional experts. It will also map the gaps in the health sector and identify new opportunities and submit a Human Development Plan for the health sector.
