Oracle today unveiled Oracle Transportation Management, a new brand based on the transportation management offering that the company obtained through its strategic acquisition of transportation management solution (TMS) vendor, G-Log.

"The introduction of Oracle Transportation Management enhances Oracle's supply chain management product by delivering quantifiable benefits and return-on-investments to Asia Pacific companies, including reduced cycle times and lower transportation costs," an Oracle release said here.

The Research analyst firm, ARC Advisory Group, estimates that the TMS market in Asia Pacific would grow at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 14.6 per cent between 2004 and 2009. The market is estimated to be worth $158.9 million by 2009.
