Outsourcing Visesh Info wins EcoStar KPO deal Our Bureau
New Delhi , March 19 Visesh Infotecnics Ltd has said it has bagged a Knowledge Process Outsourcing order from US-based Fortune 500 company, EcoStar Communications Corporation. Visesh expects the order to generate $20 million revenues in the first year. The company also plans to invest Rs 35 crore this year for increasing its delivery capacity in India, even as the company scouts for acquisitions in the US market. "We currently have 120 seat capacity in Gurgaon, and will be looking at increasing the capacity to 1,200 seats either within Gurgaon or in some other location," Visesh Infotecnics Ltd, CEO and Managing Director, Mr Sanjiv Bhavnani said at a conference here. The KPO order was bagged by `Cyberworks Visesh LLC,' a recently registered US joint venture between Visesh Infotecnics and US-based Cyberworks Software Inc.

"The order involves VSAT dish sales process and the customer support operations. The company expects $20 million revenues in the first year from the contract. We are currently in the process of negotiating similar order in KPO space with other global companies, which leverage our technical expertise," he said. EcoStar delivers Direct Broadcast Satellite (DBS) television products and services through its Dishnetwork to its customers worldwide. The KPO operations of Visesh commenced last week from Gurgaon under its new business division for outsourcing `V-Connect.'

He said the company was also eyeing acquisitions in the US market for augmenting physical infrastructure or expanding its client base. "We may acquire an existing BPO company in the US to strengthen our delivery," he said, adding that Visesh was also considering setting up delivery centres in Sri Lanka and Philippines.
