Extends pact with Iron Mountain

Pune , March 20

Symphony Services, which has presence in Bangalore and Pune, is setting its eyes to enter the Chinese market through the acquisition route.

Talking to presspersons, Mr Ajay Kela, Symphony Services President India, said the company was in discussions with a partner in the Chinese market.

"We are planning to buy out the company and willing to buy if the staff strength is about 1,000 people,'' he said.

He added that the acquisition route was being taken as some of its clients wanted to make their products available to the Chinese market. Symphony Services is a provider of collaborative, full lifecycle outsourcing solutions for software product development and analytic processes.

Mr Ajay Kela also announced that Iron Mountain Inc, player in information protection and storage services, is extending its strategic software outsourcing agreement with Symphony that included software development, testing and quality control work for the next three years.

He added that Symphony would dedicate a team of 80 engineers for Iron Mountain across its two global operating centres in Bangalore and Pune.

Mr Greg Nicastro, Senior Vice-President, Iron Mountain, said that Symphony had in the initial stages of agreement had one product on which work was carried out and now it had extended its work on more than six products.
